|Recommended: NoHaving lived at Glenwood over a year my friends and I have had countless problems. The problems didn't start until we got new management that is on a mission to nickel and dime college students over cleaning checks, selling contracts, and parking. There have been many times when they haven't delivered on promises or the service has been incredibly sub par.
|Recommended: NoA lot nicer when all renovated — When all the rooms are renovated, it will be a lot nicer. My room wasn't as the photos shown so I was thrown off when walking in. I understand some rooms are completely renovated. The now added disclaimer at the bottom of the website about what photos are which would have been nice to have there a couple months ago. If it was there, I missed it and that is my bad.
|Recommended: YesGood — Too many people in an apartment
|Recommended: NoThe worst place I have ever stayed — they pair you with the worst roommates possible. everything breaks fairly easy. the people that live here are weird. not a good fit for me.
|Recommended: YesLiving here — It a good place for a college student to living…
|Recommended: NoSo much worse than I ever thought — They were continually doing construction while we were still living in the apartment. Things constantly breaking. Constant building construction starting early in the morning. Confusing management. Did not clean apartments before we moved in and then sent in cleaning crews and the cleaning crews said they couldn't clean because we already moved in. Just bad.
|Recommended: NoI have been living here for 2 years and have not had too many problems until recently. Within the week we received 2 emails. One saying we had 2 weeks to move to an apartment in a different building fyi we have finals starting in 2 weeks . Our compensation for such a task is an updated apartment and 60 dollars. And for the most part my apartment was like we can make that work . Then we got another email 4 days later saying we can start moving tomorrow and that we need to be moved out within the next week. Any communication with the Glenwood office was met with we understand your concerns but that's just the way things are . Overall, the apartments are not bad, and the wards are great, but the management leaves much to be desired.
|Recommended: NoNot Worth It — Management kinda sucks
|Recommended: YesIt's nice — This is my first day here and I'm already impressed with the place
|Recommended: NoHide fees — They ask you to pay extra fees hidden in the contract, there is no transparency. I asked a lot while signing my contract if there would be extra fees and the workers said no.
|Recommended: NoYeah this place kinda sucks — Made everything much more expensive, send people to fail my cleaning checks even when the place looks freaking immaculate.
|Recommended: YesGlenwood, good enough place to be — This apartment complex was built in 1967 and was renovated in the 1990's. Many of the rooms are very old but they are affordable. The parking, placement, and community around Glenwood is good but it is very old.
|Recommended: NoComplaint — Good afternoon
I’m a little confused about paying for insurance that isn’t on page 19 of the contract I checked. It does not seem to me that after two months you are charging for an insurance policy in which you do not speak on the day the contract was signed. In addition to that, you make the sum every two months of what one owes, and I am afraid to know that more I will have to pay that I will not be informed when signing the contract.
The washing machines do not work, and 3 times I have happened that my clothes are wet when I am going to pass it to the dry, in addition to that you do not recycle the garbage and I think that is not very generous with the environment.
I hope you can ask about the washing machine, as several girls have also complained and please I hope I have no more surprises of future payments that I do not mention previously when signing a contract. I feel it’s not very honest of you.
Thank you

|Recommended: YesGlenwood — I love the apartments and the environment. The front desk workers are kind and helpful. However, I have only lived here for two months and I have already had several bad experiences with the management. I'll suggest two areas that might improve the experience of the residents.
Parking availability is fine, but I recommend some more communication between Glenwood and the UPE. They should not be booting and towing cars of students who are paying for a parking pass, it's just that simple. If they do, surely there is a way for Glenwood to meet the students halfway. I understand there are situations where management's hands are tied, but in my experience so far, Glenwood feels very much like an entity that is not willing to go out of their way to help their residents.
Cleaning checks felt a little harsh. I entirely support regular cleaning checks, but you must understand how it looks when an inspector hired by Glenwood comes in with incredibly high criteria and fails an apartment, and that apartment has to pay Glenwood to have them come back and potentially fail them again. Again, I support cleaning checks, but please consider more realistic criteria for a pass and fail, or else talk to the inspector about his expectations that is why I rated 2 stars on maintenance staff, otherwise I have had no problems with any other maintenance staff . It's making Glenwood look like a corporation that's just trying to milk college students of the little money they make.
The students are paying to live here, paying to park here, and paying for someone to come back to check an apartment that they cleaned. Every time I've approached management about my concerns, I've received more or less a not my problem, pushing the blame to UPE or the inspector company, otherwise I would be leaving a more positive review right now. Consider communicating with those companies to defend your residents, don't make it difficult to live here.
I've spoken with several roommates and ward members who are all Glenwood residents who share these concerns. I love living at Glenwood, and my experience has overall been good. I just don't enjoy my fear of the entity that ought to be supportive and not apathetic toward its residents.
